With the explosion of the Internet and so many more of us getting on-line a new phenomena is sweeping the globe. Many more of us are realizing that ‘Working from home’ is a viable option with real income opportunities and provides not only an income but the satisfaction of being able to truly be your own boss. Many companies are bowing to pressure and organizing the workload so employees can do a large portion of their regular job at their base from home. Avoiding the horrors and wasted time of commuting amongst other things.
Globally Women (Mothers in particular), senior citizens, the disabled and those who just find that the drudge of the 9-5 and the threat of being downsized, unemployed, or dependant on their local economy for the opportunity to work have been starting a quiet revolution at home from their humble pc’s. They have been quietly and busily making their own opportunities and carving out a vital income for themselves and their families.
According to the UK Labour Force Survey, there are 2.2 million teleworkers in the UK - about 7.4% of the workforce. This is people who work at home at least one day per week.
That is just people who work for a company by phone at home, the actual figures for all those who work from home for a company or themselves could be 10 or 20 times as higher.
If you decide that your love/family/social life is suffering because of the amount of hours spent working outside the home and opt for the ‘work from home’ solution, where do you begin?
Most of us are aware of the phony scam ads or messages that are sent out to a vast audience by crocked companies. Even though the old work-at-home scams have taken on a modern twist, the typical victims who are most susceptible to these scams have changed very little. Work-at-home con scams have always preyed most heavily upon senior citizens, the disabled; mothers who want to stay at home with their children, people with low income and few job skills, and the deluded hopefuls who just want to get rich quick. This has no doubt and quite rightly so, put many of us off even considering working from home.
However, as a successful ‘Work from home’ individual myself (I am by no means unique here) I can tell you that earning from home is a realistic and profitable option for most of us. Finding the right way to do it and avoiding feeling isolated as we have no peers or work colleagues is the tricky part.
Avoid all ‘Earn £££$$$ for just reading emails’ schemes and realizing you will have to work much harder than that for your income, plus joining a vibrant non affiliated work from home community, full of advice, warnings of scams or bad companies to avoid, tips and successful work at home members can often be the best place to start.
