Australia, August 31, 2006 - Australia's Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs has released figures indicating that foreign workers are arriving in the country at a rate of 158 per day.
Statistics have also been published showing the figures for foreign migrants entering Australia's individual states between January and April: New South Wales - 23,000; Victoria - 12,000; Queensland - 8,100 and Western Australia - 7,700.
The opportunities for work in the country are mainly what attract thousands of migrants to Australia every year. And the above mentioned figures show no sign of slowing down in the near future.
