Worldwide Intercessors Day - One Billion Intercessors Project
Introduction: Worldwide Intercessors Day Prayer Movement, started in Kenya, East Africa, in the year two thousand and one, (2001) when Rev.Kennedy Waningu, a Missionary of Hope For All Nations Ministry; followed God’s command to mobilize intercessors and the Nation to repentance, and awakening to her redemptive calling of God. After two years of mobilizing Intercessors in Kenya- (2001-2003); on 29th October 2003, The First gathering of Intercessors into Nationwide Intercessors Day was held in Eldoret- Kenya, at the Full Gospel Church with the aim and burden of calling all Nations of the whole World into prayer by launching of Worldwide Intercessors Day; to intercede for Global awakening; for the fulfillment of the Great Commandment and the completion of the Great Commission.
We are amazed every day as we see more nations come on board with this initiative to pray for global awakening in preparation for the second coming of Jesus Christ!
From the beginning the Lord has laid it on the heart of his servant Rev.Kennedy Waningu to challenge, call and mobilize One Billion Intercessors to respond to God’s call to unite their hearts together in focused prayer as Worldwide Intercessors Day for personal repentance, personal revival, and national spiritual awakening, to release huge global prayer outpouring among nations of the whole earth.
Early 2006 the LORD spoke to his servant Kennedy Waningu, that it is time to start a campaign of mobilizing one billion intercessors.
Realizing how immense this task was going to be, the man of God immediately decided to raise an army of one million (1000,000) prayer warriors for this project within the first one year on 24/7 a week intercession, by Launching World Prayer Tower- the First Ever Global Video Prayer Call Using, The Christian Video Conferencing Network Internet Technology: Faith to Faith- Face to Face, to equip every Christian household in every nation, every day with the weapon of prayer - which in every of the one million intercessors -one should train one new intercessor as a prayer partner.
The process of one equipped intercessor - to train another new intercessor; should continue in every conceivable place worldwide for the next 5 years. The purpose of this army would be to stand with the man of God to intercede for the One billion intercessors mandate and the global awakening, for the fulfillment of the Great Commandment and the completion of the Great Commission.
This project is an nternational/interdenominational project focused on bringing in the final harvest before our Lord and Saviour comes to take us home.
How will the One Billion Intercessors be reached? The World Prayer Tower as a coalition of national prayer networks, mobilizers, and Intercessors in every Nation. We will work together to motivate, develop and equip national prayer movements and local churches to equip every Christian household in every nation ev
