September 9, 2006 (Press Release) --
The Project Help Homeless Katrina victims help site was created in
September 2005. It began at
http://www.clarencepage.net/katrinahelp.html and expanded to
http://www.projecthelphomeless.org/katrina/katrinahelp.html
Its developer, Clarence William Page (of Greensboro, NC), knew that
the weeks and months following the devastating destruction of
Hurricane Katrina would be severely challenging for the victims that
were worse affected. His goal in constructing the site was to help
point victims to help agencies, information resources and other
points of possible assistance. His research resulted in nine pages
of links and URLs that point to many of the available help agencies,
resources and disaster response directories.
The site is still active and may be accessed at
http://www.projecthelphomeless.org/katrina/katrinahelp.html
