September 11, 2006 (Press Release) --
Lake Tahoe, Nevada – September 11, 2006 - Brooks attended to show support for the Green Party and their efforts to give political access to third-party candidates.
“We support all third parties and their efforts to open up the doors of political access. In a society where the Democrats and Republicans have a political monopoly any organization that strives to give a voice to everyday Americans like you and me should be commended.”
For a team like Imperato-Brooks 2008, the Green Party’s national presence and ballot access will be of key importance.
Currently the Imperato-Brooks 2008 Presidential Campaign has begun the planning stages of their national ballot access campaign effort. In addition, the Imperato-Brooks team is looking to open up ballot access to all third parties when elected.
During the conference, the message being conveyed by Brooks was one of unity and strength.
“In order for America to have a voice in this country we must challenge the Democrats and Republicans. The only way to accomplish this is to be united in our efforts and steadfast in our resolve. Our campaign will be the vehicle that gives Americans a chance to have a real choice for change.”
“Previously many of the third parties have been fragmented in their efforts. Because of this, third parties have been marginalized by the media, the press, and for the most part the American people as a viable political option. We are looking to change that. With the help of all third parties, we believe that we can give those third parties, including the Greens, the political podium to be heard across America.”
In addition, Brooks commented that it would be nice if the Libertarians joined the Imperato-Brooks ticket as well in order to provide additional ballot access. Combined with Imperato-Brooks, the third parties of America could look to give a serious challenge to the Democrats and Republicans for the White House in 2008.
