LOS ANGELES, CA -- L.A.-based Conexion, a business-to-business marketing company specializing in the Hispanic business market, is one of three finalists to receive the prestigious 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) Award, to be presented by Hispanic Business magazine at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on November 9.
“When we started the company, our mission was to create a legacy that inspired people -- and this nomination puts an exclamation point on that vision,” said Edgar Mejia, CEO of Conexion who launched the company from a studio apartment while attending business school and working a full-time job. "We are truly privileged to be among the Hispanic 500 and those entrepreneurs being considered to receive this award," added Mr. Mejia.
The EOY award honors a select group of dedicated individuals whose success can be attributed to uncommon drive, innovative courage, prosperity and civic responsibility, and who represent the imagination and spirit of Hispanic entrepreneurship in America.
