New Author Brad Barber Self-Publishes Exciting Fantasy/Action Thriller Gatekeeper at Lulu.com.

PRATTVILLE, AL—SEPTEMBER 12, 2005— Brad Barber self publishes his own book after almost a year of waiting on more “Traditional Publishers”. The novel Gatekeeper was published with Lulu (www.lulu.com), literally the world’s fastest growing provider of print-on-demand books.
Gatekeeper is a novel that takes place in the near future and the story follows Rodin, a man with strange powers who is barely human at that. He can fly, heal almost instantly, and literally punch through steel. One night, Rodin is captured by two men—Curtis and Dylan—who dedicate their lives to kill any paranormal beings they encounter. Seeing that Rodin is no threat, they let Rodin join their company called “Paranoraco”—essentially a combination of the words “Paranormal” and “Company”.
Soon after that, the company’s base is intruded by two vampires searching for something inside the base. Curtis notices that paranormal beings are beginning to act strange, as if controlled.
These events are tied in some way to Rodin. But he doesn’t remember anything about his past, the origin of his powers, he must find out some way before ultimate destruction is brought upon the entire planet!
“I have been writing since the fifth grade,” said Brad Barber. “With this story I wanted to create a new spin on some of the oldest of legends, like vampires and even the El Chupacabra. I had one heck of a time writing this story, and with Lulu, it gave me the credit I need to assist me with my career.”
