(Free-Press-Release.com) September 15, 2006 -- New Iberia, LA, September 19, 2006: The 1st annual Drug Free Work Week sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor is October 16 – 22, 2006. This is a prime opportunity for companies to review their drug free workplace policies. For those organizations that do not have a drug free policy, this is the perfect time to implement one. All Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated companies are required to have a drug free workplace policy. DOT regulated industries include trucking (FMCSA), Aviation (FAA), Oilfield/pipeline (RSPA), Railroad (FRA), Shipping and maritime (USCG), and Public Transit (FTA). The U.S. Department of Labor encourages all industries to participate, whether during the official week, or at any time through the year.
