The company says that the latest version will allow consumers to easily create and enjoy high-quality videos in high-definition (HD), besides making video editing for the Web a simplified task.
Releasing version 10.6, Jeff Hastings, general manager, Pinnacle Systems, said, "According to the NPD Group, Pinnacle Studio is again the number one product in the consumer software video editing market, based on the US retail unit and dollar sales from January through June 2006. We are well-positioned to grow even stronger as consumers select Studio as the best tool for creating and distributing videos in HD formats, as also sharing videos with friends in Web-based social networking settings."
The latest version reportedly includes powerful enhancements such as optimal HD editing through support for all popular wide-screen displays; new tools for better managing files and scenes generated in the most recent digital capture devices; and enhanced stability similar to professional editing products.
"The latest Pinnacle Studio includes enormous benefits for consumers. With the availability of Microsoft's Vista operating system around the corner, we are committed to completing compatibility requirements for Vista by the time it is commercially available in 2007."
The Pinnacle Studio family of products includes Pinnacle Studio, Pinnacle Studio Plus Titanium Edition, and Pinnacle MediaSuite Titanium Edition.
While Pinnacle Studio software is available through Pinnacle Systems' authorized resellers who are listed at www.pinnaclesys.com, the Pinnacle Studio products will be available at the manufacturers' suggested retail price (SRP) beginning at $69.
