To prove that everyday food and beverage products can deliver optimal nutrition, Fortitech Asia Pacific displayed several new fortification initiatives at Food Ingredients Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.
For_Immediate_Release:

September 20, 2006 (Press Release) -- With a focus on gut, bone and brain health, these fortified applications are a perfect option for improving and/or maintaining wellness for older or aging generations.
Fortitech Asia Pacific has taken a strategic and scientific approach to fortifying these products. Our scientists have successfully overcome the major issues that typically show up in the formulation process including stability, taste and texture to make top-quality, marketable functional food samples.

The team displayed a prebiotic biscuit with a nutritional profile that focuses on gut health. This application contains fiber which is associated with significantly reducing risks of cardiovascular disease and cancer; selenium and zinc, both powerful antioxidants; calcium for bone health, plus inulin for gut-health.

A 3-in-1 vitamin-mineral instant cereal which supplies brain health benefits was presented to visitors. The premix used in this application was packed with vitamins B2, B6, C and E, plus thiamine for extra energy. Other added nutrients include chromium, zinc, magnesium and choline.

Beverages are the most popular and fastest-growing functional food sectors in the nutrition industry. Fortitech Asia Pacific supported that trend by formulating a bone-healthy soymilk. A great option for kids or older adults, this application contains a vitamin D3 and 120 mg of calcium per 100 ml serving.

Also proving innovation and health-focus was a fortified gummy bear - a fun and unique way to get a solid source of nutrition. Each bear contains 50% EU RDI of vitamins A, B6, B12, C, E and D3, plus folic acid biotin and niacinamide.
