2006 JUST PLAIN FOLKS MUSIC AWARDS NOMINATIONS
The Just Plain Folks Music Organization has officially announced the nominees for its 2006 Just Plain Folks Music Awards. After receiving over 25,500 albums and 350,000 songs from 105 countries, Nominations for Best Song in 67 Genres and Best Album in 81 categories have been posted. In addition, we have posted this year's Lyric and Video Nominees. All nominations are posted on the Just Plain Folks website found at www.JPFolks.com. The winners will be announced at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards Show on November 4th, 2006 in Santa Ana, CA at the Galaxy Theater.
JENNA DREY
Jenna was first discovered by Jeff Furst, co-founder of the eighties pop phenomenon The New Kids on the Block.
Jenna gained industry notoriety by winning five high profile songwriting contests: The Dallas Songwriters Association National Contest; The USA Songwriting Competition; The International Songwriting Competition; and most notably, the VH-1 Save The Music, “Song of the Year Competition” The exposure Jenna received from these success led to her first record deal with Emanon Record and the release of “Just Like That”.
“Just Like That,” produced by Nile Rodgers. It was adopted as the battle song for the 2004 World Series Champions. Other sports teams, including the Pistons, Pacers, Raiders, and Wizards have since begun implementing the “Just Like That” sports mixes into their live game entertainment.
Jenna’s second single, “Killin Me”, was released March 2005 and hit #12 on Billboards Dance Charts. Jenna is also scheduled to complete another follow-up single, produced by the legendary Nile Rodgers in 2006.
