October 3, 2006 (Press Release) --
The doyenne of Australian Television, Ms KerriAnne Kennerly, is to host a new TV show currently filming at studios in Australia.
Ms Kennerly had no direct comment, but sources familiar with the show said the format involved both canine and human stars.
Best known as the host of breakfast television program "Mornings with KerriAnne", and for appearances on popular lifestyle, quiz, and magazine columns, the star once appeared looking slim and delightful alongside long-term TV legend Mr Bert Newton.
"KerriAnne is one of those charming personalities that Australia looks to for advice and humour, not necessarily in that order", Bert smiling in one eye and twinkling in the other.
Bert is now concentrating on his new career at Channel 9, after a long run at competitor Channel 10, which ended suddenly with the axing of the show "Good Morning Australia" or "GMA", which in recent years featured more infomercials than other content.
In a surprise finding, it is believed both Bert and KerriAnne recently declined to appear on camera after rumours circulated that politician Amanda Vanstone was to appear on the Australian version of "Dancing with the Stars".
Those familiar with Ms Vanstone's largess were not surprised.
Consultant and media commentator Wil Wilson hinted all three might consider some time alone.
"It's not a grouping I'd like to see on TV, or on a tandem bicycle for that matter".
Network Executives declined to comment on the future of the program, saying only, "The Millions are coming to get you!"
