October 4, 2006 (Press Release) -- The S&T Group (www.thesandtgroup.com) is working with a leading full service investment bank in the Middle East, with prominent positions in all its key lines of business; Brokerage, Investment Banking, Asset Management, and Private Equity is looking for a firm wide Senior Portfolio Advisor.

Assessment of investment opportunities in the MENA region by keeping abreast of current economic affairs and business trends and relevant changes;

Cooperate with firmResearch and firmInvestment Strategy Board and contribute to the selection, categorization, target setting, and admission process of various investments to firmRecommendation List;

Know the clients and visit them regularly to fully understand their investment objectives, investment horizon, risk averseness, and any particular investment constraints or liquidity needs or changes they may have;

Consult regularly with clients regarding their financial holdings and communicate to them investment and rebalancing recommendations to ensure that their investment objectives are met by leveraging on firmexpertise and resources;

Coordinate closely with the MD on the development of generic portfolios and on the development and maintenance of risk and quality control programs;

Maintain a smooth working relationship with internal brokerage desk(s) and external counterparties (Banks, Brokers, etc.) to facilitate service provision to clients;

Maintain close coordination with colleagues at the back office and help proactively resolve any issues resulting from related transactions;


Qualifications:

Holds at least a bachelor of science or arts degree (or equivalent) from a recognized learning institution;

Commands deep Knowledge in portfolio management, practices and theories (preferably a Chartered Financial Analyst - CFA);

Has at least ten years of experience in the field of financial investments and portfolio management (preferably in the MENA region);

Process oriented with clear ability to draw up investment strategies and effect investment plans;

Has substantial client management experience backed by strong negotiation and influence skills;

Excellent command of Arabic and English languages with high level of interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral;

Able to apply generally accepted standards of practice and business ethics, and is familiar with the regulatory environment as applicable to the corporate activities of the firm;
