October 8, 2006 (Press Release) --
The question which ran September 29 through October 6 was, "Do you feel it is appropriate for our US Senators and Congressmen to stop working today and not resume until after the election?" Of the 6,004 votes cast, a resounding 85% said no and 15% said yes.
It is evident by the wide margin of votes cast that most feel our representatives had a considerable summer break. Therefore, it is entirely inappropriate for them to now take off for an additional six weeks in order to campaign for the upcoming election. As Scott Gingold, CEO of powerfeedback.com stated, "Perhaps these elected officials should have their salaries pro-rated to account for times like this when they are NOT conducting the work of the people.
