October 14, 2006 (Press Release) --
With the official start of the group MCPASE last month, parents, educators and advocates of special education students in Mercer County have found a new portal to discuss the issues.
Amy Caraballo, creator of MCPASE, said "My hope is to repair the gap between families and districts. I want to put the word Team back into the IEP meetings".
Up until now, there have been few groups dedicated to educating parents and families of exceptional children. MCPASE hopes to break new ground here.
