After dating boyfriend Christopher Jarecki, lead singer of the band S.T.U.N., for more than eight years, Alicia Silverstone finally tied the knot, but forget about an extended honeymoon. Four days after the wedding, she headed for London to co-star in Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker, which has a cast that includes Ewan McGregor, Andy Serkis, Mickey Rourke, Bill Nighy and newcomer Alex Pettyfer as Alex.
Is this girl ever going to have a family? "It's too hard to plan," she told me. "Every time I think, 'OK, I'm ready now,' a job like this comes along. I know you don't have to give up your career or anything like that, but I think you definitely can't be pregnant while you're playing some hot babe."
Hot is the only word for Alicia's big fight scene with the evil Nadia Vole, played by Missi Pyle. "Our stunt doubles were these two Chinese guys," Alicia said. "One dressed up as me, and it was so funny to have a man wearing this huge blond wig and a butt pad."
Alicia decided that her character thought she was Bruce Lee, "so she would get really loud to just, like, scare Missi's character. There was this one move where I had to literally jump up on her — but it was really a him, because it was her stunt double — fling my legs around his neck and crush him. But I, like, barely have any muscles, so I was having a really hard time."
