October 16, 2006 (Press Release) --
Feminist author Amy Güth has announced plans to extend her multi-city US and Canadian book tour, promoting her novel Three Fallen Women, to include dates until late 2006. Her novel, a “...challenging, thought-provoking and gripping read” is currently available through Amazon.com and through publisher-direct web sales.
Three Fallen Women follows the lives of three women - a frustrated painter newly-aware after a breakdown; a heroin addict whose organs are attempting to warn her she's dying; and a woman who finds serious catharsis in prostitution, castrations and mercy kills – as they fall apart and reconstruct themselves. Far from conventional storytelling, Three Fallen Women bends the traditional uses of words and structure, and has been compared with the subversive prose and creative worldview of Tom Robbins and Chuck Palahniuk.
Ms. Güth has garnered a reputation in indie-lit circles as a consistently dynamic and entertaining live performer. Her readings often include audience participation, props and a punk rock energy that always attracts a large and enthusiastic crowd.
