Galway, October 17th, 2006: Ridge Web today announces the launch of the “Galway Entrepreneur Index”, tracking the number of new Galway based businesses registered each month.
The index illustrates the health of enterprise development within Galway and shows whether entrepreneurship overall is growing or declining, acting as a proxy for business confidence within the county.
The most recent results show that after a slowdown during the summer, the Galway Entrepreneur Index is back up close to June levels, with 80 new companies registering in September. This is double the number of companies registered in August and is only slightly below the number in June.
The top three business sectors for the four-month period were:
1. General Construction Of Buildings And Civil Engineering Works
2. Management Of Real Estate On A Fee Or Contract Basis
3. Software Consultancy And Supply
