GSC Logistics Names Joel Lesser Chief Financial Officer

An expert at helping guide company expansion including the design and implementation of an evolving infrastructure, Mr. Lesser is an important addition to GSC�s executive team.

�Joel has an extensive financial, administrative and accounting background spanning nearly 15 years at the executive level,� said Andy Garcia, chairman of the board and executive vice president of GSC. �He brings a lot of expertise to the table and will play a pivotal role in GSC�s continued growth, and we�re very pleased to have him on our team.�

Before coming to GSC, Joel was vice president of finance at Ion Systems, in Alameda, where he helped the company become profitable in two years, resulting in a positive acquisition. Prior to that, he worked with several Bay Area start-ups, including Signio, which was sold to Versign. He also previously held the position of corporate controller for California Eastern Labs in Santa Clara.

Mr. Lesser earned a B.S. degree in accounting from San Jose State University, and holds an MBA in finance from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and is an active member of Financial Executives International.
