Toronto, ON October 18, 2006 Winter is on its way to Toronto, but Eggplant the Restaurant wants to thaw you out with sizzling reggae beats, bringing the heat of the islands to the city this November. On Friday, November 10th, Mista D of The Salads (http://www.myspace.com/mistad) and Matty from Dodger (http://www.myspace.com/dodgermusic) go unplugged to cover Bob Marley and even more reggae, folk and rock tunes for your listening pleasure.
The boys will kick off the evening at 8:30 PM with an acoustic tribute to Bob Marley, paying homage to the late, great reggae legend. Then at 10:00 PM, Mista D and Matty mix it up and get under the covers, covering songs across the board twisted into an acoustic, mostly reggae style.
If we cant bring you to the Caribbean, well bring the Caribbean to you, said Dave Conlon, co-owner of Eggplant. Acoustic reggae tunes from amazing artists like Mista D and Matty will definitely be a paradise for the senses and a complement to executive chef Christopher Strakers mouth-watering menu, which is modern French cuisine with a Caribbean and Latin twist.
