Steven Ybarra launches solo career and 1st solo CD

CARLSBAD, CA - Steven Ybarra, former lead singer and songwriter for 34Below, has recently launched a solo career, kicking it off with a new CD and a whole new sound.
A serious illness late last year forced Steven to make some significant changes in his life and career, as he could no longer meet the exhausting demands of touring with the band.
The down time during recovery gave him an opportunity to create and record his own
songs--music with a new focus on love, life, and struggle, reflecting his renewed faith in
God and Christianity. Numerous years as a singer, including over 12 years with the band,
culminated into a strong vocal foundation to his raw, soulful sound.
“I wanted to create honest, thought-provoking songs with passion and meaning...
something people can grab on to and have it leave them with a sense of knowing
themselves a little bit better,” says Steven. His diverse talent with instruments and
