In today’s world, the job market has become extremely competitive. There are dozens of applicants who are trying hard to get the best position in the company. So When the applicant goes for an interview, he has to clear no of rounds to achieve the position in the company. For this there are several factors that are seriously scrutinize by an interviewer.
One of the factors is work experience. Relevant work experience is normally a strong indication of a candidate’s ability to succeed in a specific field. Thanks to the numbers of online universities who offers online degree programs to the people who never thought they would have an opportunity to earn a degree are now accomplishing their goal on their own terms.
Unlike traditional colleges and universities, online degree programs are designed with busy individuals in mind. Whether you have a full-time job or a family to take care of, an online degree program allows you to obtain a degree in your precious spare time. By obtaining an online degree, you are opening the door to a multitude of exciting opportunities. Whether you are looking for a promotion within your current company or a new, more lucrative career, an online degree is the best way for you to accomplish your goals.
In past few years the number of individuals taking online courses has skyrocketed. There were 104,000 student enrollments in online-learning classes during the 2003-04 academic year, according to the Higher Education Telecommunications System. Nearly 90,000 of the enrollments were for online courses. If those numbers were translated into the equivalent of full-time students, they would create the sixth-largest university in the state with 10,135 students.
Richard Williams, a physics professor at the University of Pittsburgh who has studied distance learning, said many online programs are reputable and are a good way for some people to get a degree. “I think it can be a very good way for someone who’s been out of school for a while, has a family, has a job and can’t put down their obligations to increase their education,” he said.
