October 20, 2006 (Press Release) --
It’s not every day that a novelist gets to adapt her own book and direct the resulting script.
But that’s exactly the situation that Dominique Paul is in as she prepares to shoot the film version of her novel The Possibility Of Fireflies. Sadly, it's not about the quest to make further series of Joss Whedon's sci-fi epic - but there is a Whedon-verse connection.
Buffy’s Michelle Trachtenberg and Sky High’s Kelly Preston are starring in the tale of a single mother who is trying to make her life work after her husband walks out. She’s forced to raise their two daughters (Trachtenberg plays the eldest) alone.
Paul starts shooting the movie this coming January in South Carolina.
