Shrek 3: All About Divas

October 20, 2006 (Press Release) -- Shrek the Third, scheduled for release next May, revolves around the big green ogre's trek to find a replacement so that he doesn't have to step into the role of ruler of Far Far Away, but a USA Today sneak peek makes it sound as though the most fun will be had in the catty scenes with Shrek's female cohorts. Current and former Saturday Night Live cast members — including Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph and Cheri Oteri — are joining Cameron Diaz's Princess Fiona as Snow White, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty, respectively, whom Fiona must convince to step up and take charge of their own futures instead of waiting around to be rescued by a prince. Other newbies in the voice cast are Amy Sedaris as Cinderella, Regis Philbin as one of her wicked stepsisters and Justin Timberlake as a high-school student who's really the future King Arthur.
