At the geographic center of the continent and the heart of Indian Country, the Native American Cultural and Educational Authority (NACEA) is creating the American Indian Cultural Center & Museum (AICCM), an International destination that will invite the world to interact with Oklahoma�s Tribal Nations. AICCM celebrates American Indian Heritage Month by featuring its Premiere Online Art Auction. The auction begins November 1, 2006 at 8:00 am (Eastern Daylight Time) and will continue through November 30, 2006 at midnight (Pacific Daylight Time). The auction will feature multi-disciplinary artwork including, painting, sculpture, photography, multimedia arts and jewelry. The online art auction will connect a global community with some outstanding contemporary artists. A panel of distinguished art authorities � Betty Price, Executive Director, Oklahoma Arts Council (OAC); Della Warrior, Former Executive Director, Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA); Keevin Lewis , National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI); Mary Jo Watson, Associate Dean, Weitzenhoffer Family College of Fine Arts, University of Oklahoma (OU); and Lona Barrack, Administrator, Chickasaw Arts and Humanities, has selected a collection of exceptional work by a diverse group of artists from North and South America.
