Arlington, VA October 24, 2006 -- The Arlington VA-based International Association for Counterterrorism and Security Professionals (IACSP), has launched its new IACSP Auction site with an Amphibious Armored Personnel Carrier. The new auction site will feature new, used or re-designed military and law enforcement products.
Excluded from the site is weaponry. On the web at www.IACSP.com (refer to the Auction Link on the homepage), the auction operates under a revised BETA version currently linked to the site. Sellers, buyers and visitor will notice changes to the site as it develops, over time.
The IACSP Auction is open to individuals, military and law enforcement organizations interested in bidding on / purchasing military and law enforcement products.
Auction site proceeds support the activities of the IACSP and its 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable Counter-Terrorism & Security Education and Research Foundation (CTSERF). ). The foundation funds the improvement of national and international understanding about all facets of terrorism through sponsored conferences, workshops, symposiums, video productions, media educational projects and printed material. CTSERF also funds training, research, academic scholarships and terrorism victim assistance.
Auction-site sellers will ultimately be able to reach targeted buyers for manufacturer-supplied over-production items, items that have seen product changes/updates, or those with style changes. Buyers will be able to obtain such products at significantly lower prices than on the open market.
Anyone registered with the IACSP can bid on items featured at Auction site.
Currently, the first online listed sale falls under the armored vehicle category. It is an M113A1 Amphibious Armored Personnel Carrier originally valued at $2 million. The starting bid is $5000, with a reserve price not yet met, as of the date of this release.

Rules and regulations for buying or selling are posted on the site. As with any online auction, a small insertion setup and posting fee applies for individuals or military and law enforcement agencies wishing to post items for sale. The initial base posting-fee is $25. The minimum sale price is $150.
IACSP auction personnel will assist the seller with the set up of each auction using the text-copy, images and/or video provided. Optional seller fees may also be paid to gain additional attention on the site.
