Despite claims earlier this week that the U.S. government is after him, Namibia's Ministry of Justice permanent secretary Lidwina Shapwa insists that no contact has been made regarding extradition, there is no extradition treaty between the two countries, and Snipes is protected for the time being. Upon his return to American soil, though, he could face 16 years in prison if convicted of all of the charges. � E.C.
