LAS VEGAS October 18-20, 2006 MedInformatix hosted its second annual radiology user group meeting at the Mirage Hotel and Casino last week. During the three day session, the radiology clients previewed new enhancements, made suggestions for future modifications, and attended training sessions on advanced user functions. Senior system engineer, Barry Walker stated, We want to have the best system, and we cant do it without meetings like this. Ninety percent of software enhancements to the MedInformatix RIS product come from the users.
MedInformatix and the attending users made the commitment to hold the annual meeting each year in Las Vegas. In addition to these annual meetings, the users have access to a web forum sponsored by MedInformatix to facilitate communication with other MedInformatix radiology clients throughout the country. The forum allows users to share ideas and information; plus, it is monitored by MedInformatix personnel to offer assistance as needed and post global announcements.
All the users enjoyed the three day event, stating that it was informative, but also fun. Madeline Gregorzek of Robert D. Russo, MD and Associates Radiology commented, It is good to meet some of the people we talk to on the phone. Overall, everyone declared the meeting a huge success.
