My history with The World's First Healthy Coffee
Two years ago I was introduced to healthy coffee by one of my client's sisters. She was so excited to have found this healthy coffee with hopes I would approve this for her sister to consume. You see, for the past 12 years I have instructed my clients to completely avoid coffee! The average cup of coffee takes 2 cups of water to offset the dehydration and 17 cups of water to neutralize the acidity!
I am constantly bombarded with new products and quite frankly, I tossed this product in my, "I will get to it later drawer," with dozens of others. My first thought was, healthy coffee, right! There is no such thing as healthy coffee. As a matter of fact, "healthy" and "coffee" should not even be on the same page.
Over the next few weeks I received several phone calls from my client's sister asking me to please evaluate this healthy coffee for her sister. I finally did and was surprised with what I saw.
First, I read that this coffee was non-acidic and actually had an above neutral pH. This was very important to me as improving pH is the foundation of my health program. The main reason I instruct my clients to avoid coffee is because it is very acidic!
Second, I noticed that this had very little of the drug "caffeine", as compared to regular coffee, even much lower than decaf coffee. All of this began to get my attention.
Then I read that this healthy coffee contained Reishi Mushroom, which I have known about for many years. I have used Reishi in several of the products I have developed in my clinic.
My next step before I began recommending this Healthy Coffee to my patients was to validate the pH (acid/alkaline balance) of this product in my own labs.
