November 4, 2006 (Press Release) --
Most people think of Newport Beach as a summer place to bring family for the day or a week's vacation, but a little know secret is that Newport Beach is also a great place to visit during the rest of the year.
The best part during this time of year is that rental prices are reduced, there are no crowds and parking is easy. Oh sure there still are the super luxurious places on the bay and ocean front at $5,000 plus per week, but there are also a few great places just off the beach.
One example is a luxury condo on 27th street just steps from the beach with rents starting at only $1,700 per week. It is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath upper unit with a 2 car garage. The place is beautifully decorated with new furniture, new kitchen cabinets, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and washer/dryer in the house, not the garage. It also has high speed internet and cable TV in the living room and master bedroom. One of our favorite places is the balcony where we look out at the ocean, sail boats and catalina.
You can see pictures of this condo at www.mynewportplace.com. It is conveniently located within walking distance to stores and restaurants. Albertsons, McDonalds, Starbucks, the Pier, Pizza, The Cannery Restaurant and the Lido Movie Theater are just a few blocks away. One of the most popular restaurants just a few blocks away is the Crab Cooker. Just make sure you go early.
We could go on and on about the wonderful restaurants in Newport Beach, but for great food on an economy budget try the Spaghetti Factory, Ho Sum Bistro, El Ranchito and of course the Crab Cooker. Another favorite of ours is the Blue Water Grill, a bit more expensive, but very reasonable for what you get.
Whether you go for the day, a long weekend or a week, you will for sure enjoy Newport Beach. We were there in October and the weather was beautiful, about 70 and sunny during the day. Go soon - you will be glad you did!

Fall, Winter and Spring are still nice times of the year in Newport Beach. Weekly rental homes and condos are available at reduced prices, but you also get reduced numbers of people and cars.
