Los Angeles, CA (November 3, 2006) --- New York Times critic pick Blue Mesquita makes his film acting debut in David Ayer’s (directed and produced) “Harsh Times” the creator of “Training Day.” Blue portrays Leo Sosa an LAPD cop who grew on the rough streets of South Central Los Angeles with childhood friends Jim (Christian Bale) and Mike, (Freddy Rodriguez). Harsh Times” premiers today at Westwood’s Mann Theatre with a release date of November 10th (MGM Studios).
Blue’s breakout role of Leo is just a taste of what this talented, handsome and charming actor can deliver. He is one of the many hopefuls and soon to be one a heartthrob of Latino Hollywood.
Although this is his most noticeable film it is not his first. He appeared in “Training Day” and portrayed “Mateo in the film “Azul Atmoic” (Salazar Productions).
Blue grew up in the eclectic neighborhood of Los Feliz. He is the younger brother of two sons. Blue was born on May 21, 1969 on the Twenty-nine Palms Marine Corps base located in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. His professional
training includes: The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Adam Roth, The Actor’s Center, and Back Stage West.
