November 8, 2006 (Press Release) -- Oxford, UK – The Oxford Web Group announces its forthcoming seminars promoting web design and online marketing best practice in Oxfordshire. The first seminar to take place at Science Oxford at 1 London Place, Oxford on 7th October is to be on the theme of ‘Being seen on the web and getting customers to commit to buying’. The seminar will run from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, and refreshments will be provided. The areas of expertise covered by the Oxford Web Group include: web design, online branding, web applications, website coding, usability and accessibility, content management, web strategies and campaigns, website optimisation, web marketing and online PR.

Introduction to website design and marketing best practice
The Oxford Web Group will initiate its series of monthly seminars on Tuesday 7th November at the Oxford Trust (Science Oxford). The two hour session will provide an introduction to website design and marketing best practice and will be accessible and informative for the uninitiated, as well as for seasoned web professionals. At least 45 minutes of the event will be given over to a Q&A session, where attendees will get the opportunity to pick the brains of the Oxford Web Group’s panel of web technology experts. The answers will be posted on the Oxford Web Group online forum where attendees will get the chance to continue the dialogue and debate.

“The Oxford Web Group exists to disseminate valuable information about online technologies and marketing,” explains Jonathan Fink, one of the founding members of the Oxford Web Group. “It has a particular emphasis on the needs of small businesses, medium-sized companies and start-ups in Oxfordshire.” The areas of expertise covered by the Oxford Web Group include: web design; online branding; web applications; website coding; usability and accessibility; content management; web strategies and campaigns; website optimisation; online marketing and online PR.
