Belgrade- 10, November, 2007 — In a joint collaboration between Greek and Serbian designers, the first exhibition of CONNECTIONS featuring the SVAROG and FERMA collections will be displayed at the Furniture Fair on November 13th- 19th. Crafted with precision and exquisite taste, the collections are distinguished by their elegance, purity of materials and special attention to detail. Complementing the furniture is a wide range of textiles and accessories from leading worldwide design houses. These collections have captured the attention of many across Europe who have purchased pieces from the SVAROG and FERMA collections.
“The furniture that we present is well known. I have chosen these collections because the creators are looking not only look at the design of the furniture, but at the total atmosphere associated with the furniture. In one sentence I would say that we don’t just sell furniture, we help our customers create design solutions that reflect their individual lifestyles.” says Marija Petrovic of CONNECTIONS adding “There are many characteristics that make our showroom concept unique. I think that the consumer, interior decorators and architects will be impressed with our collections which range from traditional hand-made to french provincial and ethnic designs.”
CONNECTIONS also announces the opening of their new showroom at Kondina St No 1, Belgrade where a more complete range of the collections can be viewed from November 20th. and where, on December 5th at 8pm , CONNECTIONS will host their Official Grand Opening in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Alexander and Crown Princess Katherine. Members of the public are invited to attend the event which will be in aid of the Foundation of HRH Crown Princess Katherine.
The collections each have their own flare of sophistication and style. When asked how Goran Radovanovic, General Manager of SVAROG ART, felt about working with the Serbian & Greek designers and the resulting display at the fair he replied “The Greeks are close to our mentality and we both appreciated each other’s cultural heritages and the effect of this on individual tastes and design. The hand-made furniture of SVAROG has been carefully selected and many of its designs are well know here in Serbia although we continue to add new ideas, particularly with the use of the latest fabrics and finishings. In so far as our exhibition, it will be truly unique and elegant and I believe that you really need to come and see for yourself and then of course to visit our new showroom. I hope and expect that people will be impressed and will find something to match their taste.”
