2007 SKEPCHICK AND SKEPDUDE CALENDARS NOW READY
FOR PRE-ORDER
BOSTON, MA - Following the success of the 2006 Skepchick Calendars, which
raised funds to promote critical thinking among women, Skepchicks, Ltd. has
announced that two calendars will be released for 2007: one showing off twelve
female skepchicks and another full of male skepdudes.
Participants in this year's calendars include James "The Amazing" Randi, of
the James Randi Education Foundation; Dr.Michael Shermer, author of Why
Darwin Matters ;Dr. Phil Plait, "The Bad Astronomer;" George Hrab,
singer/songwriter/skeptic; Prof. Richard Wiseman, co-star of Theater of Science and author of The Luck Factor;
Rebecca Watson, President of Skepchicks, Ltd.; Dr. Lynette Davison, skeptical
historian and writer; and many others.
Profits from the sale of the calendars will fund multiple $500 scholarships given
out to applicants with demonstrated financial need who have a Big Idea for
furthering science and reason. Money will also be used to fund ongoing efforts by
Skepchicks, Ltd. to investigate pseudoscience and promote critical thinking to the
general public.
