Robert Essig teams with Adaptive to provide expanded Tech Rep coverage

SALT LAKE CITY and NEW YORK CITY- September 12, 2006 - Adaptive Lighting & Controls, LLC today announced the hiring of Robert Essig. With Essig as the newest member of the design team, Adaptive has increased it's coverage into New York State and Connecticut. Robert will personally handle local client meetings, plan presentations, proposal presentations as well as construction management on Adaptive's projects in New York and Connecticut.
"Bob's experience in the lighting design, automated control and installation has impacted the Gold Coast area for quite some time," said Glenn M. Johnson, founder and principal lighting designer of Adaptive. "It has been instrumental bringing him on-board to further advance our already industry leading lighting and controls approach."
Essig has been in the electrical field for 31 years. A member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 25 since 1980, Essig spent the early years of his career working on projects for Grumman Aerospace and Shoreham Nuclear Power Plant. Since 1988 Essig has run his own electrical contracting business specializing in high-end residential lighting design, installation and automated control. Essig has been instrumental in the design and installation of lighting and control systems in many exclusive residences throughout the Elite Gold Coast of Long Island's North Shore.
"Adaptive's process couples its innovative and creative artistic approach with the lighting world and enhances the value of the home," Essig said. "Its technical controls and engineering work have already been instrumental in several residences along the East Coast."
Robert is one of several trained and certified individuals that Adaptive is teaming with nationally in order to assist the local ground presence in the company's various markets. In addition, Essig will be available to meet with office staffs and potential clients for initial presentations. He has completed The Adaptive Training Course and has become certified in conducting and coordinating services as an Adaptive Technical Representative. Essig's presence will allow Adaptive to have on site management support, available to meet with owners or general and subcontractors on any of its projects along the east coast.
Glenn M. Johnson along with Adaptive's Salt Lake City based staff will be on call and available as well to meet clients specific needs. With the latest expansions, Adaptive Lighting and Controls now covers southern California; Scottsdale, Arizona; Western Canada and the East Coast.
