PreschoolRock.com is asking families to spend time together during National Family Week, November 19 – 25. National Family Week: Connections Count is being celebrated by families and organizations in communities nationwide.
National Family Week: Connections Count embraces the premise that children live better lives when their families are strong, and families are strong when they live in communities that connect them to economic opportunities, social networks, and services. These "connections," celebrated during National Family Week, include access to reliable transportation, employment opportunities, education, child care, housing, health care, and support from community networks and institutions.
PreschoolRock.com will participate by providing activity, craft and game ideas that bring together the family unit and promote togetherness. Through their network, PreschoolRock.com will encourage educating preschoolers about the community and helping others by providing resources for parents.
"In a world of instability and insecurity, it's vital for preschoolers to experience a strong connection between home and community. Strong community connections make strong families, and strong families make strong children. By participating in activities that support the 38th annual National Family Week, you and your preschoolers will be a link in the Community Connection and will be taking an important step towards creating stronger families," says Preschool Holiday Crafts writer, Joanna Young.
