On the wake of uSwitch's comments on secured and unsecured personal loans, banks in UK have declared that they are doing all that they can to check up on borrowers. Measures taken by the banks will enable the borrower to understand the credit agreement they are undertaking.
London(ask4loan) Oct 10 2006: In its response to the comments on secured and unsecured personal loans made by uSwitch, banking industry in UK has declared that they are doing all they can do to check upon the Borrowers. This step will enable the borrowers to understand fully the credit agreement they are undertaking.
It has been declared by HSBC that all secured and unsecured personal loan customers should hold a current account with the bank, into which they have to deposit their salary each month or at least an amount of at least £500 every month.
They believe that this will enable them to obtain an immediate understanding of the incomings and outgoings of the consumer. At the same time it will reveal whether the consumer has any existing credit agreements or not.
It has also been declared that the bank’s Personal Budget Planner will provide the customers with all the information they need about taking out a loan.
