November 14, 2006 (Press Release) --
A new website serving the UK's primary healthcare sector has been launched by Haymarket Publishing.
Healthcare Republic (http://www.healthcarerepublic.com) includes dedicated sections for GPs, nurses, pharmacists and practice staff and features daily news, clinical guidance, drug records and education articles.
Key among the website's features is the archive of articles from Haymarket Medical’s other titles - GP newspaper, Independent Nurse magazine and eMIMS, the online edition of prescribing reference guide MIMS.
In addition, the website features a job board – Healthcare Republic Jobs (http://www.healthcarerepublicjobs.com) – and a classified advertising section.
"Whether it's easy-to-access information that can be used during consultation, education and development resources or discounts and offers for their spare time, Healthcare Republic is a vast primary healthcare resource," says launch Editor Richard Yarwood.
He adds: "Resources like the MIMS drug database, patient fact sheets and travel information are powerful tools for healthcare professionals."
The content and structure of Healthcare Republic was developed by Haymarket Medical and Haymarket Business Interactive. Over the past 12 months the team consulted a variety of healthcare professionals to ensure the website met audience requirements.
Matthew Gerry, Online Publisher at Haymarket Medical, says: "Healthcare Republic is the first website to cover the whole of the UK's primary healthcare sector. We are delighted with the site and initial feedback from our readers and clients has been overwhelmingly positive."
"Haymarket is committed to building on this launch in the coming months with more content, job vacancies and useful tools for healthcare professionals."
