November 14, 2006 (Press Release) --
Don't break out the Manolos or stir the Cosmos just yet. Despite rumors of a "Sex and the City" movie, its may not be a done deal.
Saturday in Los Angeles, GLARE spoke to Charlotte -- a k a actress Kristin Davis -- who expressed some doubt.
"I hope it's happening," Davis said.
Reacting to a story in Entertainment Weekly this week saying the movie is back on, Davis said with a laugh, "Do you think that means it's true? Actually, I'm playing with you. The truth is I hope it's true. I'd be so excited."
As for timing of the film, Davis says, "I really have no idea. I haven't seen a script."
But real life is similar to reel life for her. Just like her character Charlotte, Davis is thinking about adopting a child. She recently returned from a trip to Africa with the charity Oxfam.
"Yes, I'm thinking about adopting. I haven't gotten to the point where I've picked a country," she says. "But I do think adopting is a beautiful and generous thing."
Meanwhile, Davis will soon be seen playing the wife of her "Sex and the City" co-star Sarah Jessica Parker's hubby Matthew Broderick in "Deck the Halls," opening Nov. 22.
