Service Credit Union brought Port City Web on-board to evaluate the current website, www.ServiceCU.org, help with updates as they transition staff, and offer suggestions for improving the management and security of the website. After a thorough evaluation of the current website, including the Credit Union’s long-term goals, Port City Web suggested Ektron’s CMS as the tool to administer and power the Credit Union’s website. “We looked at everything from security needs, to staffing levels and skill sets, to long-term goals of Service Credit Union,” noted Erik Crago, President and CEO of Port City Web. “We discovered that there was a substantial need for non-technical staff to maintain the content of the Credit Union’s website. By implementing Ektron’s CMS, non-technical staff can author, edit and approve content and new pages, among other things,” said Crago. “By switching Service Credit Union to the Ektron solution, they can reduce their dependency on technical web developers, and focus more time on the content of their website – which benefits their members,” notes Crago.
