(Free-Press-Release.com) November 15, 2006 -- WBITSA website - www.wbitsa.org - starts with a bang. Hundreds of employees apply for membership within hours of launch. The site was launched alongwith launch of the West Bengal IT Services Association by Shri Subhas Chakrabarty, MIC, GoWB.

The West Bengal Information Technology Association was launched in satellite township of Salt Lake considered the nerve centre of IT industry in the state.

Hundreds of employees from various IT organisatiosn in the state have applied for membership and want to work for the betterment of the association and improve the lot of IT workers in the state. Most of them howeve has chosen not to disclose the membership details at this stage for fear of action from the employees who have not welcomed the idea of the association in this sector and are losiung their sleep over it.

Speaking on the occasion, CITU state president Shyamal Chakraborty alleged that a number of IT companies were flouting rules framed by the government, depriving workers of basic rights like PF and ESI.
