Hallandale Beach, FL - November 15th, 2006 - Living Color Enterprises, Inc. has announced the completion of the largest freestanding acrylic cylinder aquarium in Florida. It is located on the bar level of the casino at the Gulfstream Racetrack Clubhouse and Grandstand, 901 Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, Fl. The aquarium measures 13 feet in diameter by 13 feet tall, and when accounting for the water in the filtration components, holds well over 14,000 gallons.
According to Big Al’s Aquarium Maintenance company (the aquarium’s service provider, and Living Color’s sister company), this marine exhibit will house over 350 fish of more than 30 exclusively Caribbean species, including large angels, surgeonfish and even spiney lobsters. Viewing this magnificent man-made habitat up close will rival some of the best diving experiences to be found in south Florida or the Caribbean.
Gulfstream’s casino is scheduled to have it’s grand opening on 11/15/06.
Company officials have stated that this is the latest large-scale Living Color Enterprises, Inc. aquarium project completed, in what seems to be a growing market with an ever-increasing demand for larger and larger aquariums.
