Press Release
For Immediate Release:
Unique Art Expert Service for Teachers
San Diego, California-- Art professor, Valerie Colston, M.A., creator of the award winning website Art Teacher on the Net has added a unique paid service to the free K-12 art resource website. Now visitors can sign up for a Monthly Art Service that gives them an opportunity to receive lesson plans, resources, gallery space, and have their own art expert while they are enrolled in the monthly art service.
Here is how it works. Along with the art lesson plans and resources, participants have access to a real life art professor through email. Let's say you have a science unit you are teaching and need some ideas for including art into the project. Maybe you are a scout leader or day care director that wants to add more art lessons but doesn’t know how to get started. Or you have a field trip to your local museum but you aren't sure how to prepare your students for the visit. Perhaps you are a parent volunteer who is teaching a unit on Georgia O'Keeffe and needs a hands-on art lesson. You’re a home school mom and need advice on how to teach an art unit on analyzing artwork. Now you can have your own art expert that you can ask. Inquiries are returned within 72 hours if not before. The art expert advice is limited to one person per classroom or group.
“It’s very affordable at only $35.00 a month and one answer to promoting more art in the classroom,” Colston says. “More teachers would incorporate art into their classroom curriculum if they knew what to do.”
The service also offers advice for purchasing art supplies, meeting art standards, family night activities or anything related to creating art for the classroom, or other groups. “It makes life easier for the teacher or group leader, and makes a great gift!” Colston adds.
Sign up for the December Art Teacher on the Net Monthly Art Service is available now at Art Teacher on the Net at www.artmuseums.com
