To really grasp what internet marketing is all about is essential. Even though there are countless millions of articles written about internet marketing and internet marketing systems, one must have a clear cut vision of what true internet marketing is all about.

Ok, so one joins a program of some sort whether it be an MLM company, service organization, traffic generating plan or whatever, and they are issued a self-replicated website and they are off and running to make a million dollars or whatever, right?

Wrong! First things first...no self replicated website that I have ever seen in my internet marketing career has ever had the proper elements in it to be properly placed before the search engine spiders of Google to ever gain a top positons. The simple fact is, most self-replicated sites have very little content (one thing that Google loves is original content), a proper metatag description of that website, or the necessary keywords that the search engine spiders want to see. Bottom line here...no one will see this website ok?

Now, having said that, there is a way around this dilemma. You can purchase a domain name from a reputable hosting company, build a simple informational website (much like this one) and get your message out on the internet quite effectively. The process of promoting that website will be addressed later in this article.

Once the domain name has been purchased, and this should be very well thought at initially, to be very effective, then the person is ready to build a website. This is not a complicated process, in fact, it is a very pleasurable pastime. Remember, your website is always a work in progress (or should be.) So taking time to explore the world of the internet and internet marketing, there should be no time frames, no desperation, nothing like that . It should always be thought of as fun. You will have much better results in thinking like this

Now that your website is up and running, there are some things that you need to do to be sure to get that website noticed on the internet quickly.

Writing effective press releases about your website is one of the most effective ways to promote your website on the net period. One of my favorite places is Free-Press-Release. These guys are really good to work with and they provide a service that you cannot buy which is link popularity and relevant content on the net. Bottom line...write press releases first and very often. The more you write, the better you will do with your websites...One thing to remember while writing your press releases, always write in third person, do not use I, You, etc...and if you do want to use these words, act like you are the one being interviewed in the press release.

Another very powerful marketing tool that I use all the time is ezine articles. Ezines are simple online magazines. Many people write good articles on a number of relevant topics. Now, one important fact here. Ezines are not for advertising your products. They are strictly used for information. You will not get the ezine published if you violate their rules. A few of my favorite ezines are: Search Warp, Idea Marketers, and Ezine Articles.

Publishing your own newsletter is another great way to promote your websites. Here is one of my newsletters that is currently at the top of Google for the keyword category Internet Tales and Tips. The newsletter is also called Internet Tales and Tips...

Let me ask you a question...did the light bulb just come on for you at the above statement? The part when I said my newsletter was named Internet Tales and Tips...are website titles very important? Absolutely. The title of your website is going to land you a top position, so knowing that, name your website title where you want to land on Google. Could it be any simpler?

Another great internet marketing tool that I use is an internet marketing system known as Veretekk. I have been in Veretekk for a long time and am a trainer for that system as well. Tom Prendergast and Mike Darling head the system and I will have to tell you that if you are really wanting to learn effective marketing strategies and techniques, Veretekk is the system to sign up for. This is not an easy system to learn, in fact, be prepared to spend countless hours training, but I will say that this system is responsible for my getting to the level of SEO mastery that I have now. I give credit where credit is due. I find Veretekk an amazingly complex system that will allow you to promote any business you wish very effectively. It is definitely worth your while to check it out.

Speaking of other great tools, let me introduce you to a very seemingly simple program, but a highly effective marketing tool known as LinkScout. This program enables you to place all your links in one location. How is this effective for you? Well, when you are posting to blogs, forums, other websites, emails, whatever you are doing, by simply having all your links in one location, you will just use that link. When you are spidered from your postings, guess what? All your links will be spidered from just placing that link there. Is that brilliant or what? Another very cool feature about LinkScout is that you can make a little money with it as well...I don't think you will get rich, but you will make enough to offset the $50 a year it will cost you for this system. Another feature, when someone signs up beneath you, all your links will appear in their system until they upgrade! How way cool is that? More advertising, just another way to get your links out!

Another awesome marketing tool that I have come across in my internet travels is TrafficWave. This premiere auto-responder system is owned by Brian Rooney. I have spoken with Brian and I gotta tell you that this man has a plan for success! Traffic Wave is now in over 62 countries and the success rate that people are having (me included) is nothing short of phenomenal. Could you imagine having anywhere from 200-500 people per day placing their links on your page? Why is this a big deal? Because those 200-500 people have opted in to get more info from my autoresponder. I can give them anything I want. This works 24/7 without me ever having to be concerned with it. This is truly amazing and something you need to check out for sure!
