The art of comment marketing is often overlooked. When done correctly and consistently, this technique of search engine optimization will, in and of itself, land top positions on Google.
For those people who really don't know about comment marketing...here is a brief and simplified version of what this technique is, and how to be very effective doing comment marketing.
Comment marketing is the simple act of joining forums and making lucid and meaningful keyword rich comments to the authors of the particular forums involved.
Joining a forum is completely free. One must keep in mind that the owners of these forums are proud of the work that they do. Conducting a successful forum requires effort and time, and most owners will appreciate more than blatant advertising to their forums.
The bottom line here is that if one is to do classified advertising, there are many areas on the net expressly for that purpose. Forums by and large will have a category where people can come and make blatant ads, but the real power of posting to forums is making comments.
For example: if one joins a forum, and actually takes the time to read the articles posted, one will find a wealth of good information on a massive amount of topics. Some being search engine optimization, search engine marketing, how to obtain top spots on Google, etc.
Forum subjects range from the sublime to the ridiculous. One can find absolutely any topic wishes to explore on the net. Its called free thinking. No better place to find that than on the modern day internet.
Now...having said that...one can become even more effective at this fine art called comment marketing. One simply hand submits the url, found in the address bar of the comment or thread in that forum. The search engine spiders will pick up on that thread when the forums are indexed...and if one uses a couple of links in the signature line...then those links are spidered as well.
People have gained great notoriety on the net by this simple procedure. Like anything else: however, the results will not be instantaneous. It requires effort and diligence to become truly effective.
Now the question is posed...why should "I" take time out of my busy surfing career to post to forums?"
How about top positions on Google, Yahoo, MSN and all the other search engines.
