Just earlier this month, a new UK web directory that allows advertisers to submit their UK relevant URL was launched. The directory features 30 niche web directories which cover a wide range of topics from sport to pets & animals. UK-Directory.org was formed not only because the UK Web Directory market seemed to be sadly lacking but to encourage visitors to the website to participate by submitting articles and information.
When asked why he created the site, UK-Directory.org's owner, Richard Place said, “We were looking for ways to promote our clients websites on the internet, but most directories seemed to be based in America and were just pages and pages of links. We wanted to do something different and build a vibrant internet community and so UK-Directory.org was born”. Site user Denise McCallum has found the directory to be very helpful. “It’s a great resource for any business”, she said, “I've been able to submit articles on subjects close to my heart and also advertise my business at the same time.”
