November 29, 2006 (Press Release) --
Music Video 2.0 is a company started in August 2006 by a young film director and NYU graduate named Jenn Shaw. Based in New York, with representatives all over the country, the network was created in order to mesh the world music scene and expose global music talent for all artists. When asked about her youth and ability to run such a huge venture, Jenn Shaw said: "The use of video on the web has changed the world including music so that young people like me have technical advantages to create major companies on-line. The success of sites like Youtube, Myspace, Rocketboom, and Facebook prove that the internet entrepreneurship is a force in my generation".
The website is kind of like a MTV/Youtube/American Idol. Viewers of the website can watch music videos in each genre, blog, vote, and directly contact any artist. It gives all artists exposure and ways for them to connect with labels and fans.
Currently, the company has tons gotten music videos from all over the world from places such as Sweden, Australia, and Japan. If this site is yet to launch and it already getting a buzz, we are sure it will be the next big thing in music and web video.
