Rrove.com launches new features that allow its members to make and share customized maps of vacations, shops, and neighborhoods.
For_Immediate_Release:

November 30, 2006 (Press Release) -- PALO ALTO, Calif., - November 27, 2006 – Rrove (www.rrove.com), a free website that allows its members to save and describe places on a Google map, releases ‘sets’, new functionality that allows members to group places into a single map and share them with others. With sets, Rrove enables its users the ability to design personalized and custom maps for themselves.

With this new feature, a member can create interesting maps on different kinds of locations. For example, he can create a travel guide and list of tourist attractions in a city. Another idea is restaurant guide, a directory of favorite restaurants with reviews.

More than that, the owner can allow other Rrove members to contribute their own places. A user can build a map of his neighborhood, allow locals to mark the best places to stay, eat or visit, and allow tourists on vacation to discover interesting places.

A few examples of ready-made sets include:
• Paris Destinations: http://www.rrove.com/set/item/71/paris-destinations
• 10 Places to Visit in Rome: http://www.rrove.com/set/item/56/rome:-10-places-to-visit-
• Haunted Houses: http://www.rrove.com/set/item/62/amityville-&-10-other-haunted-houses

Rrove, through partnerships with other websites, also provides useful information on the places added to a map. Once the set is completed, the places will automatically have reviews, a satellite map, driving directions, pictures, a list of nearby events and, if available, a Wikipedia article.

Just like the other features on the service, creating sets and customized maps is free.
