November 30, 2006 (Press Release) --
Nashville Bound continues their torrid pace on the Soundclick.com fall country music charts with 14 releases in 60 days and thanks to their #1 hit Margarita You’re Such A Cheater an astonishing 14 out of 14 songs reached the top 40 in the charts.
The songs of Jim Putnam were released in 5 music categories, Country, Blues, Pop, R & B and Rock, and 14 different genres in those categories showing the vast range and versatility of the songwriter and the band. Of the releases, 12 of 14 reached the top 30, 6 reached the top 20 and 2 reached the top 10 with Photographs joining Margarita in that elusive class.
Band insiders say the group is in negotiations with international Latin dance stars to appear in a country jive music video for Margarita You’re Such a Cheater when the catchy tune makes general release. Apparently there is cross promotional potential between the song and the Latin jive community which is especially strong in Europe and Asia.
Margarita, the rather tongue-in-cheek story of a troubled person who seeks out a gypsy fortune teller for help, only to get his money back, was dedicated by Putnam to Marilyn Monroe, a move inspired by a series of Gypsy photos she took in 1956.
December 1 two more songs are being released by Nashville Bound & Putnam in their continued quest to demonstrate their upbeat tempos, soulful ballets, and exceptional storytelling through their music. If you haven’t been to Soundclick.com and heard Nashville Bound you have not heard the future of country music.
