December 3, 2006 (Press Release) --
"I do tell her exactly that every single morning and all the time. I even call her and say, 'Baby, you know what you are? You're Fergalicious!' " says the 34-year-old North Dakota hunk.
The star of "Vegas" laughs because he's in a giddy mood. He's relaxing and watching a University of Southern California game in his suite at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel after a long day of interviews.
Duhamel is actually AWOL from his series to star in the new thriller "Touristas," about a group of young American tourists in Brazil who find hell when their tour bus breaks down and they wander to the beach, where the natives have some unfriendly vacation plans for them. Hint: No one is going home with their own liver or kidneys.
Q. What was it like filming "Turistas" in Brazil? You make it seem so scary -- kidnapped tourists, people trying to grab your liver and kidneys -- I don't think I ever want to go there on vacation.
A. "Oh, come on! You can still go there. Honestly, I don't know what to think about Brazil as a vacation spot. It was so run and gun the way we shot the movie. By that I mean we were just running all over the place at a fast pace. The lighting guys were up and down the hillsides. I'm just hoping people will identify with this film. You really don't know what it's about, and I hope people will go in and be surprised."
Q. You do a lot of underground cave swimming in the film. Please tell us you didn't do your own stunts.
A. "At first I thought, 'Oh, my God, they want me to swim through what?' It was more challenging than fun. The swimming through the caves was scary, but going in I knew it would be a difficult movie to shoot because of the physicality. When I was down in the caves, I knew there were safety guides down below with scuba gear in case I got in trouble. They also found little spots of oxygen under the rock shelves. One of the girls swam from one air pocket to another with no problem. I went to one, couldn't find any air and panicked."

Does Josh Duhamel wake up in the morning and, like the title of her new hit song, have to tell his real-life girlfriend she's "Fergalicious"?
